Ratek RC1: Immersion Coil Cooler Description:

With 580 Watts of cooling power, the RC1 can be used in both large and small tanks. It is capable of cooling 8 litres of water at a rate of approximately 1°C per minute. When paired with an insulated tank, the RC1 serves as an excellent replacement for ice baths.

All Ratek heated water baths, custom tanks, and IT2400 insulated tanks can be custom-made to accommodate the dip-coil without reducing usable space in the bath. This feature makes the RC1 ideal for cold stability testing, where maximizing the number of containers processed at one time is essential.

By integrating the RC1 with an immersion circulator and a re-circulation tank, precise temperature-controlled water circulation can be achieved. This makes it perfect for cooling condensers, heating mantles, and other water-jacketed devices. The system can be used for both heating and cooling applications without requiring additional equipment, making it a versatile setup for any laboratory. For this application, the TH8000 immersion circulator and IT2400 bath with IT2400BP externally ported bridge are highly recommended. The RC1 has a wide operating temperature range and is extremely reliable. It has the ability to cool any waterbath or vessel and has a quiet operation mode.

Applications for RC1 Immersion Coil Cooler

This versatile cooling system accommodates various applications requiring immersion cooling coils, particularly fermentation processes. The unit operates independently to reduce liquid and fluid temperatures below ambient conditions, or can be integrated with thermoregulatory equipment to maintain precise sub-ambient temperatures for controlled cooling applications.

Ratek RC4: Re-circulating Cooler with Tank Description:

The RC4 Refrigerated water bath when used with an optional immersion heater circulator will provide accurate temperature controlled water at or below ambient temperatures. The water bath has a capacity of approximately 12 litres. A built in heavy duty recirculating pump provides closed loop circulation at the rate of 7 litres per minute, and can offer a reliable and preferable alternative to the use of mains water for cooling Heat exchangers, Electrophoresis baths, Condensers, etc. 

To avoid accidental damage to the heat exchanger components the RC4 cooling is set to turn of at 4°c, however it can be factory set to have a minimum temperature of -10°C if required. Suitable additives would need to be added to the water for the -10°c version to avoid damage to the system.

Polished grade 304 stainless steel is used for the tank, and surround, and the main case is constructed from a heavy duty plastic. Heat exchanger components are manufactured from copper. Only environmentally friendly R134a refrigerant is used in Ratek coolers. The RC4 operation mode is quiet and extremely reliable.

Applications for RC4 Re-circulating Cooler

The RC4 provides precision-controlled external circulation for applications requiring constant water temperature through external systems such as heat exchangers or condenser coils. When combined with Ratek's range of immersion circulators, the RC4 creates an ideal solution for distillation and extraction systems, cooling laboratory apparatus, and various industrial applications.

The system offers flexible configuration from basic digital temperature control to advanced temperature ramping and profiling, enabling automated temperature changes over time for complex experimental protocols and precise thermal control requirements.

Back Orders:

Some products may occasionally be out of stock. If your selected item is on back order, we'll contact you before processing your order with an estimated dispatch timeframe. At that point, you can choose whether to proceed or cancel the order. 

Cancellation Policy:

Orders can only be cancelled if the product has not yet left our warehouse. If the product is already in transit at the time of your cancellation request, our standard return policy applies. This requires the product to be returned un-opened, with return shipping costs covered by the customer.

Returns

Unopened Returns:
There is a 30 day return on unopened products from date of purchase. The package must not be opened and must be in a resellable condition. So, this means the package that the product has come in must not be opened at all.

Return shipping costs must be covered and organised by the customer unless the product is damaged or faulty. Once product has been returned in a resellable condition, inspected and found to be in an undamaged & resellable condition, a refund will be processed.

No Return Policy:
- We do not accept returns on products once packaging has been opened, unless the product has been proven to be damaged or faulty.

- We do not accept returns on unopened products after 30 Days.

- If an item has had custom changes made to it, we will not accept a return on these items. If you are getting custom changes made to an item, please be aware of this policy.

Damaged Shipments: Ensuring a Smooth Resolution

We take great care in packaging your order, but if damage occurs during transit, we are here to help ensure a quick and smooth resolution.

If the packaging is clearly damaged upon delivery: We kindly ask you to refuse the package and immediately ask the driver to document the damage. Please call us right away at 1300 812 450 to report the refusal. Lab Devices Australia will then handle the claim with the carrier and arrange for a replacement shipment as soon as the inspection is complete.

If the damage is hidden (not visible on the outside): Please contact us at support@labdevicesaustralia.com.au or call 1300 812 450 within 5 days of receiving your shipment. To help us file a prompt claim, please be ready to provide clear photographs of both the damaged product and the internal and external packaging.

Important Note for All Damaged Shipments: For the carrier's inspection, it is essential that you keep the box, all packing materials, and the damaged items until the claim is fully resolved. Upon confirming transit damage, we will quickly arrange a return, refund, or replacement, with the shipping costs covered by the transit company. If the packaging is damaged but your product is perfectly fine, no further action will be needed from us.

Faulty Product:
If the product is faulty, please contact support@labdevicesaustralia.com.au immediately so an arrangement can be made for a return/refund or return/replacement, under specified warranty conditions of the faulty product. The product must be repacked in its original packing.

Ratek Instruments Warranty Terms:

Ratek products (excluding spare parts) are covered by a 3 year parts and 1 year labour return-to-base warranty effective from the date of purchase. Ratek products are manufactured in Melbourne, Australia. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of any parts or components found to be defective, subject to the service options listed below. The warranty is a return-to-base warranty, meaning any product must be returned to Ratek Instruments or an authorised Ratek agent for service at the discretion of Ratek Instruments. Where practical, an on-site repair may be carried out at the discretion of Ratek Instruments.

This warranty excludes any defect resulting from misuse, neglect, accidental damage, improper voltage, operation of the product outside the acceptable operating conditions as indicated in the products operating instructions or any alteration which affects the performance of the equipment. The warranty does not extend to any costs associated with delivery of the product to or from Ratek Instruments or an authorised Ratek agent, damage, or loss incurred during transport. This warranty is in addition to any statutory regulations and provisions implied by the Trade Paractices Act and any relevant State or Federal Government obligations, applicable only when purchased within Australia. The product may be replaced within the warranty period at the discretion of Ratek Instruments, however repair will be the normal course of action.

3 Year Warranty on Parts:
For a period of 3 years from the date of purchase, replacement parts will be supplied at no charge and the original components returned to the repairer. These replacement parts may be installed by an approved service agent with prior written agreement from Ratek Instruments.

1 Year Warranty on Labour:
For a period of 1 year from the date of purchase, service labour and repairs will be carried out at no charge by an approved repairer or Ratek Instruments at the discretion of Ratek Instruments. The limit of liability shall extend to the repair of the product only, all other compensation claims are excluded from this guarantee.

The warranty does not extend to claims of suitability where the product does not deliver the intended function or fails to operate. No claims of suitability are made in relation to the product by Ratek Instruments. Any claim of suitability lies with the operator. The product is used at the risk of the operator. Any loss or damage caused to any item used with the product including but not limited to biological samples, tubes, racks, accessories, flasks, containers or the contents of such sontainers caused by malfunction of the product or the failure of the product to function is not covered by this warranty. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty repairs.

Inspection Charges:
For products returned outside the warranty period, a standard inspection fee may be charged.
