Adam Equipment GBK-Plus & GFK-Plus Series IP65 Checkweighing Scales (Bench & Platform)

The Adam Equipment GBK-Plus and GFK-Plus Series are the heavy-duty workhorses of industrial checkweighing, specifically engineered for high-volume environments that demand both speed and structural integrity. Whether you require the compact footprint of the GBK-Plus bench scale or the expansive capacity of the GFK-Plus platform scale, both models feature a high-performance indicator with a vivid, color-coded checkweighing display. Built with a reinforced base and a chemical-resistant stainless steel pan, these scales are designed to endure the constant loading and unloading of heavy inventory while providing the data connectivity necessary for modern warehouse management.

In addition to their robust physical design, the GBK-Plus and GFK-Plus series serve as sophisticated data management tools for the modern production line. The scales feature an integrated RS-232 interface, allowing for instant communication with printers or computers to maintain detailed records for GLP and ISO compliance. This digital traceability is complemented by advanced software features like dynamic weighing, which provides stable readings for moving samples, and a capacity tracker that warns operators of potential overloads before they occur. Whether you are performing high-volume parts counting or complex formulation, the Plus series combines the sheer strength of an industrial platform with the analytical intelligence of a precision balance, ensuring your inventory data is as reliable as the hardware itself.

Features of ADAM GBK/GFK-Plus IP65 Checkweighing Scales:

  • 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty: Both the GBK-Plus and GFK-Plus series are backed by an extensive 5-year warranty, ensuring long-term operational reliability in demanding industrial settings.
  • Vibrant Color-Coded Checkweighing LCD: The backlit display changes color (Amber, Green, Red) to provide instant visual confirmation if a weight is under, over, or within the desired target range.
  • Rugged Reinforced Construction: Features a sturdy metal base and a high-quality Grade 304 stainless steel weighing pan that is easy to clean and built for heavy-duty daily use.
  • Intuitive Full Numeric Keypad: A color-coded keypad with dedicated keys for Tare and Zero allows for rapid input of unit weights and sample sizes, even while wearing industrial gloves.
  • High-Capacity Parts Counting: Beyond standard weighing, these scales offer precise parts counting functionality with selectable sample sizes, ideal for high-volume inventory audits.
  • Smart Memory Accumulation: Allows the operator to totalize weights or counts over several weighing sessions, providing a grand total for batching or shipping documentation.
  • RS-232 and Optional USB Connectivity: Equipped with an RS-232 interface for seamless integration with printers and PCs, facilitating GLP-compliant data logging and traceability.
  • Internal Rechargeable Battery (90-Hour Life): The long-life internal battery allows for full mobility throughout the warehouse, providing up to 90 hours of continuous use on a single charge.
  • Dynamic Weighing for Moving Samples: Advanced software filtering stabilizes the weight reading for moving objects, such as liquids or live animals, ensuring accuracy in unstable conditions.
  • Customizable Auto Power-Off: Includes a programmable power-saving mode that automatically shuts down the scale during periods of inactivity to maximize battery life.

Applications for ADAM GBK/GFK-Plus IP65 Checkweighing Scales:

  • Warehouse Shipping and Receiving: Efficiently verify the weight of incoming stock and outgoing parcels to ensure shipping accuracy and prevent freight discrepancies.
  • Industrial Batching and Formulation: Use the color-coded checkweighing function to accurately mix ingredients or batch components according to strict weight specifications.
  • Retail and Food Packaging: Perfect for packaging bulk dry goods or produce where consistent portion control is required for cost management.
  • Hardware and Fastener Inventory: Utilize the parts counting feature to manage thousands of small components like nuts, bolts, and screws with high-capacity precision.
  • Quality Control Testing: Perform repeatable weight checks on manufactured parts to ensure every unit meets the factory’s quality standards.

What is the difference between the GBK-S / GFK-S Series and the GBK-Plus / GFK-Plus Series?

The main difference between the GBK-S/GFK-S Series and the GBK-Plus/GFK-Plus Series of checkweighing scales lies in the level of ingress protection (IP rating) and, consequently, the environment they are designed to operate in.

In short: The "S" series is the stainless steel version for washdown and wet environments, while the "Plus" series is designed for basic industrial use

1. GBK-S & GFK-S Series ("S" for Stainless Steel)

These models are the higher-protection versions intended for use in wet, dusty, or sanitary environments.

  • Key Difference: IP67 Washdown Rating.
  • Protection: The "S" designation typically means the scales feature a full stainless steel housing and platter, meeting the IP67 standard.
  • Application: Ideal for food processing, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical labs, and messy environments where the scale must be regularly washed down with water or exposed to dust/liquid sprays.

2. GBK-Plus & GFK-Plus Series ("Plus" for General Duty)

These models are the standard, durable, general-purpose industrial checkweighers.

  • Key Difference: IP65 Rating.
  • Protection: These models feature a durable ABS plastic indicator housing and a stainless steel platter. They meet an IP65 standard, offering protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, but they are generally not designed for full washdown.
  • Application: Best for dry warehousing, packaging, general manufacturing, and non-washdown industrial environments where basic dust and splash protection is sufficient.
